Steuerberatung und Jahresabschluss
Responsible for annual financial statements, income-surplus statements and tax returns, conducts the review meetings and represents the client before the tax office. Name and background to be added here.

Steuerkanzlei Berg supports self-employed professionals, trade businesses and small companies in the Hannover area — from ongoing bookkeeping and payroll to annual financial statements.
We work with businesses where the owner is actively involved day-to-day — and therefore has no time left for receipts in the evening.
Steuerkanzlei Berg has deliberately stayed small. Anyone who calls here doesn't end up in a queue, but reaches someone who knows their numbers. We work with clients over many years, so we know how the order situation in a business fluctuates, when invoices come in, and which purchase is still planned for autumn.
We explain tax law in the language you'd use to describe your own trade. Phrases like "we'll take care of it" aren't enough for us — you should be able to understand why a figure appears the way it does in the financial statement.

Three things stay the same in every client relationship: one dedicated point of contact, explanations without jargon, and deadlines that we keep track of instead of you.
Every client relationship is handled by one person — with a direct phone extension, email address, and knowledge of previous years. You won't have to explain your case from scratch with every call.

Every annual financial statement includes a meeting where we go through the key figures together. We proactively point out what has changed compared to the previous year — even if nobody asked.

Filing deadlines, advance returns and payroll reports are tracked in a firm-wide calendar. If documents are missing, we get in touch in good time — not after the deadline has already passed.

A tax return isn't finished until the client could explain it themselves.
Responsibilities within the firm are clearly divided: advisory and financial statements, ongoing bookkeeping, payroll and office administration — each role has its own area of responsibility.

Records receipts, prepares VAT advance returns and compiles interim reports. First point of contact for questions about individual bookings.
Processes monthly wages and salaries, handles reporting to health insurers and the trade association, and manages employee registrations and de-registrations.
Maintains the deadline calendar, receives documents, schedules appointments and follows up when documents are still missing for a filing.
Who handles your account
See here, step by step, exactly how working with us unfolds — from the first conversation to the review of your tax assessment.

In the roughly one-hour initial consultation, we clarify your legal form, revenue size, number of employees, and which tasks you would like to handle yourself. Afterwards, you receive a written breakdown of the scope of services along with the fee framework according to the Tax Consultant Fee Regulation (StBVV). Our collaboration only begins once you have signed.

We obtain the power-of-attorney database authorization for the tax office, request the prior year's data and financial statements if you are switching advisors, and set up your digital document access. For payroll mandates, we also gather your company registration number, health insurance providers, and your employees' personnel master data.

You submit receipts and bank statements by the fifth working day, we record them and file the advance VAT return with the tax office on time. We process payroll by the third-to-last working day, including contribution statements for health insurance providers and payslips for your employees.

After the year ends, we review outstanding items, depreciation, provisions, and private shares. Depending on your accounting obligations, we prepare either an income surplus statement or a balance sheet, discuss the draft with you, and then submit the tax returns electronically.

We compare every tax assessment notice against our records and, in the event of discrepancies, file an objection within the one-month deadline. We then discuss advance payments, upcoming investments, and the schedule for the coming year.
