Tax support for self-employed professionals and freelancers
Income statement, VAT, income tax and advance payments all come together under one roof with us. You provide the receipts, we take care of deadlines and figures.
Starting point
Three returns, one single set of facts
For self-employed individuals, the income-surplus statement, VAT and personal income tax all hinge on the same figures – which is why we handle them together instead of one after another.
What you book for your business affects your personal tax burden – and personal decisions feed back into the business. A home office, a vehicle used for both, or a pension contribution shows up in several returns. Handling these points separately usually means correcting them twice in the end.
That's why we look at your business and personal situation together in one process. This reduces follow-up questions, keeps advance payments closer to your actual situation, and makes surprises at final settlement less likely.
- Income-surplus statement under Section 4(3) EStG
- Monthly or quarterly VAT advance return
- Annual VAT return
- Income tax return with Annex S or G
- Adjustment of income tax advance payments
- Trade tax return, if a trade business exists
Services for the self-employed
What we take care of for your engagement
From the current month through to the annual return, we keep working with the same data – you hand over the receipts, everything else runs through our deadline monitoring.

Income statement (EÜR)
We prepare your income statement from your receipts and account data, allocate business expenses and clarify borderline questions such as home office, vehicle or phone use with you in advance.

VAT advance return
Monthly or quarterly – depending on what the tax office has set for you. We file on time and let you know in advance what payment amount to expect.

Income tax return
Business results and personal matters in one return: Anlage S or G, pension provisions, health and pension insurance, rental income and investment income.

Advance payments
If a year runs noticeably weaker or stronger than the previous one, we apply to adjust your income tax advance payments instead of waiting for the following year's assessment.

Document organisation
Together with you, we set up a filing system that fits your submission schedule – scanned digitally or as paper folders. We take care of sorting and posting.

All services at a glance
Annual financial statements, financial accounting, payroll accounting and tax returns – the firm's full overview, ready for when your business grows.
Process
How our collaboration works
From the first conversation to the reviewed tax assessment, we work through fixed steps. This way you always know which task lies with you and which lies with us.
Initial consultation, about 45 minutes

We discuss your line of work, legal form, revenue size, and whether you need to prepare a cash-basis profit and loss statement (Einnahmen-Überschuss-Rechnung) or full annual accounts. Afterwards, you receive a written assessment of the scope of services and the fees under the German Tax Advisor Fee Regulation (StBVV).

Afterwards, you receive a written assessment of the scope of services and the fees under the German Tax Advisor Fee Regulation (StBVV).

You sign a tax advisor power of attorney and the engagement agreement. We register you with the tax authority as authorized recipient, set up digital document exchange, and check whether your bank can be connected via account statement retrieval.

By the 10th of the following month, you upload your receipts. We record the entries, check the input tax, and submit the VAT advance return via ELSTER on time. You receive the business evaluation report (BWA) with results and open items.

After the end of the year, we prepare the annual financial statements or cash-basis profit and loss statement, along with the income tax, VAT, and, where applicable, trade tax returns. We discuss the results with you, file the returns, and review every tax assessment within the one-month appeal period.
Preparation
Documents and costs
The more complete your documents are when they arrive, the faster and more cost-effective the processing will be. This overview covers the typical needs of a freelance or commercial sole proprietorship.
What we need from you
- Outgoing invoices numbered consecutively, incoming invoices and cash receipts
- Bank statements for all business-use accounts for the entire year
- Mileage log or a summary of business kilometers, receipts related to the company car
- Contracts for office space, leasing, loans, and insurance
- Documentation for home office, phone and internet usage share
- Contribution statements from health insurance, pension fund, or statutory pension insurance
- Tax office notices regarding advance payments and the prior year's tax assessment
What determines the price
We charge fees according to the Tax Advisor Fee Regulation. The determining factors are the value of the matter – for bookkeeping, the annual revenue; for annual accounts, the balance sheet total plus operating performance – and the number of receipts. Well-organized, digitally submitted documents noticeably reduce the time required.
Before the engagement begins, you receive a written estimate of the annual costs, broken down by ongoing bookkeeping, year-end work, and tax returns. Additional services such as support during tax audits or appeal proceedings are agreed with you in advance.
